About Me

I don't remember the first time I sang on stage, but it must have been when I was about three, and I'm sure it was at church! I pursued music all the way through high school, beginning private voice lessons as a young teenager. I was introduced to organizations like TMEA, NATS, MTNA and was able to win national competitions that helped me to go to college on music scholarships.

I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. It was during my time at Baylor that I knew I wanted to teach privately, and that I wanted to teach all kinds of styles and all kinds of musicians.

I began teaching forty plus private students a week at James Madison High School in San Antonio, and through the years have taught in many places across Texas - North Richland Hills, Lubbock, Sunnyvale, Dallas, Boerne, and Rockwall.  I have had the privilege of working with many students and genres and for the last several years have had the blessing of incorporating my passion for worship by mentoring and coaching professional worship leaders and those who aspire to be.

As a vocalist, I have loved singing all kinds of styles - worship, musical theater, and classical to name a few. Right now, I have the awesome privilege of singing soprano with the Dallas Symphony Chorus. In my work as a private teacher, I have been able to coach many people to reaching their goals. For some, that is simply to gain the confidence to get on stage and perform, but for others this includes successful auditions for worship teams, musicals, college scholarships, TMEA All State, and pursuing careers in music.

I am a member of:

NATS - National Association of Teachers of Singing

TMEA - Texas Music Educator’s Association.
